Not many people can say they found their person during their Freshman & Sophomore year in high school. But that is how we found each other.

From the bustling halls of Doniphan-Trumbull High School in Nebraska, two hearts found each other amidst the chaos. We were the high school sweethearts that shared a bond that seemed to transcend time and space. From the moment we met, our connection was like nothing you could explain. We were drawn towards one another, sparking a love that would endure the test of time.

Our journey together began in our small hometown of Doniphan, Nebraska, where we navigated the trials and triumphs of adolescence side by side. Through late-night never ending phone calls, cheering each other on at our sporting events, and secretly kissing in the hallway between classes, our love was just beginning.

As graduation approached, we faced a crossroads. With dreams of adventure and new horizons, we made the bold decision to embark on a journey of a "long distance relationship" together, as Danielle left for Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois to chase her dreams of playing D1 collegiate golf, and Derek stayed in Nebraska to advance his business management career.

After Danielle graduated college, our path led us together traveling from state to state (Salina, KS, Albuquerque, NM, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Columbia, MO, and back to Lake Havasu City, AZ ), as we forged a life filled with laughter, love, and endless adventures. Danielle then continued and pursued her Professional Golf career, playing on the Cactus Tour and then earning her Symetra Tour card, while Derek successfully moved up the management chain furthering his professional career. Our long-distance relationship continued, but we always stayed supportive of our career decisions and dreams we wanted to chase.

Through it all, we both remained steadfast in our commitment to each other, our love growing stronger with each passing day. We celebrated the highs—the milestones achieved, the dreams realized—and found solace in each other during the lows—the setbacks faced, the tears shed.

Together, we built a life that was uniquely ours, weaving a tapestry of memories that would last a lifetime. From lazy Sunday mornings spent cuddled up on the couch to random "let's get in the car and see where the day takes us", every moment was cherished, every experience shared.

As the years went by, we both grew older but never grew apart. Our love only deepened with time. We were more than just partners; we were soulmates, each completing the other in ways words could never express.

And so, our story continues, 15 years later, a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the unwavering bond between two kindred spirits. Through every twist and turn, we remained true to each other, our story an inspiration to each other. For in each other's arms, we have found our forever home, a sanctuary where our hearts could truly be at peace.

On April 5th, 2024, Derek asked the question that would bond us together forever. And of course, Danielle said "Yes" through all the happy tears.

We truly believe good things take time and this was the wait worth waiting for.
